Resources
Welcome to the Ocean Rights Resource Hub! We offer these resources freely to support a consistent, informed, and unified voice for Ocean Rights—helping advocates, policymakers, and communities speak with clarity and cohesion. A major gap in the Rights of Nature movement has been the lack of coordinated messaging, and we aim to bridge this by providing legally sound, accessible information for all.

Your Questions on Ocean Rights, Answered
This Ocean Rights FAQ is developed by Ocean Vision Legal, drawing on robust legal research, analysis, and expertise in the Rights of Nature. Our goal is to provide clear, legally grounded answers to key questions about recognising and upholding the inherent rights of the Ocean. Dive in to learn more about the movement.

Ocean Rights Advocacy Toolkit
The Ocean Rights Communications & Advocacy Toolkit is a free resource for anyone (e.g., activist, lawyer, communicator, policymaker) to be an effective advocate on behalf of the movement. The toolkit provides clarity on Ocean Rights (what it is and what it is not) based on 10 years of practical experience leading and drafting Rights of Nature campaigns globally, as well as robust legal analysis and comparative research.

Social Media and Storytelling Toolkit
Whether you are an organisation or an individual supporter, this toolkit provides a shared foundation for communicating about Ocean Rights — so that together, our voices are clearer, stronger, and more aligned. Download, share, and use the template posts as much as you want! Available in English, Spanish and French.

Underpinning Principles of Ocean Rights
‘We are the Ocean and the Ocean is Us’ was developed with the input of 150+ stakeholders as a living document to establish a robust foundation for socialising a Universal Declaration of Ocean Rights (UDOR), or similar, by 2030.
